We had tons of fun at Echeconnee, it was refreshing and a nice way to start getting back into the groove.
We got there Thursday afternoon started setting everything up. Got an amazing spot on the grounds.
Friday, we got to practice on our practice bike and the race bike, I felt good but work had to be done with me. I just needed to go faster. My first impressions of the track was that it was small and was going to get rough fast, not to difficult but the roughness made up for it.
Saturday was race day, we went out twice in the first Moto I placed fourth with almost pulling the whole shot. It felt like it took me a while to get it going and dropped back into a couple different positions, but made my way back in the end to finish fourth in the first Moto.
In the second Moto, I struggled with a really bad start, and then I was just trying to make my way through people and riding with a blown rear shock was not ideal. I was anywhere from 5th to 8th in that Moto and ended up finishing seventh.
Our fastest time of the day was 01:47.572 in our second lap during the first Moto.
We ended up sitting six overall, which I was super proud of. Nothing was injured again and I felt good coming out of it. I am excited for LST and what that will bring.
See ya at LST!
